Overview

Mayer Brown's tax practice assists clients in minimizing the tax burden with respect to Latin American operations and transactions. Mayer Brown often acts as the lead tax advisor on multinational transactions, coordinating tax advice in the countries involved in order to structure transactions in the most advantageous way.

We also work with multinational companies to plan, coordinate, implement, and defend their transfer-pricing policies in Latin America and elsewhere.

When disputes arise, we have significant experience litigating cases involving transfer pricing and the US tax implications of Latin American transactions, and in representing clients in international arbitrations relating to Latin American tax liabilities and their allocation under tax-sharing agreements.
