Colleen Couture is an associate in Mayer Brown's Washington DC office and a member of the Financial Services Regulatory & Enforcement practice.
Colleen graduated cum laude from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and magna cum laude from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Colleen received the King Broadrick-Allen award at the University of Illinois for academic achievement.
During law school, Colleen served as the Symposium Editor for the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology and participated in the Complex Civil Litigation and Investor Protector Center Clinic. She served as an extern for the Hon. Joan B. Gottschall on the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, in-house at one of America’s top charities, and for the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Trading & Markets.
Before law school, Colleen worked with a state lobbying firm in Arizona and later with an international law firm headquartered in Chicago. For six seasons, which included time before and during law school, Colleen also worked in the In-Game Entertainment Department of a Major League Baseball (MLB) team located in Chicago.
