Mayer Brown partner John Mancini appointed to NYIPLA Board of Directors

Mayer Brown announced that Intellectual Property partner John Mancini (New York) has been appointed to the board of directors of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association (NYIPLA).

Established in 1922, NYIPLA promotes the development and administration of intellectual property and related laws, while educating the public and members of the bar. Its membership currently exceeds 1,500 IP attorneys throughout the United States and abroad.

At Mayer Brown, Mr. Mancini’s practice focuses on litigating copyright, trademark, trade dress, trade secret and patent disputes in courts across the country. He has been at the forefront of numerous disputes that have shaped intellectual property law, especially disputes involving the convergence of new media, the Internet and new technologies.

Mr. Mancini has successfully tried numerous complex intellectual property cases to successful bench and jury verdicts, all as lead counsel. For his various litigation victories, Mr. Mancini has received numerous awards and accolades. Notably, he was recognized as a 2019 “IP Star” by Managing Intellectual Property, was named an “Intellectual Property Trailblazer” by The National Law Journal and was identified as an “Intellectual Property MVP” by Law360.
