Tauil & Chequer Advogados, in association with Mayer Brown, announced the hiring of a 11-lawyer team, led by renowned tax partner Guido Vinci. Also joining the firm are tax partner Ana Luiza Martins and corporate and M&A partner Daniella Raigorodsky. The group joins from Campos Mello Advogados and will be based in Tauil & Chequer’s offices in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.

Guido Vinci (Rio de Janeiro)
Guido Vinci has an extensive practice in tax planning, tax consulting and tax litigation, mainly in connection with M&A transactions, foreign investment, VAT (ICMS) advisory and capital markets. Among his clients are Brazilian and international companies in a variety of industry sectors, such as consumer goods, energy (oil and gas), financial and banking services, hospitality and leisure (hotel and resorts), industrial goods and services, infrastructure, life sciences, media and entertainment, retail and technology (telecommunications). Mr. Vinci also participates in the administration bodies of several companies and was selected as the official tax speaker by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels for technical conferences. Mr. Vinci began his career in 1989 as a member of the tax department of KPMG, where he was a senior tax manager until 1996. In 2007, he joined Campos Mello, Pontes, Vinci & Schiller Advogados as a partner.

Ana Luiza Martins (São Paulo)
Ana Luiza Martins has an extensive practice in tax consulting and tax litigation before Brazil’s higher courts in Brasília. Among her clients are Brazilian and international companies in many industry sectors, such as consumer goods, hospitality and leisure, industrial goods and services, infrastructure, life sciences and technology (telecommunications). Ms. Martins joined Campos Mello in 2007 as a senior associate, where she focused on complex tax litigation and strategic consulting before becoming a partner of that firm in January 2011.

Daniella Raigorodsky (Rio de Janeiro)
Daniella Raigorodsky has extensive experience in the areas of corporate, mergers and acquisitions, finance and capital markets, debt restructuring and project finance. She assists with the planning and structuring of business and financing transactions, including foreign investments and financing, corporate reorganizations, and private and public offerings of securities. Ms. Raigorodsky regularly advises clients on cross-border transactions in Brazil, setting up business and corporate activities, acquiring and disposing of equity and asset transactions, and corporate reorganizations.
