Chambers Europe 2013 ranks Mayer Brown in 21 categories and recognizes 26 of firm’s lawyers

Mayer Brown, a leading global law firm, announced that the 2013 edition of Chambers Europe: Europe’s Leading Lawyers for Business ranked the firm in 21 geographic and/or practice categories in Belgium, Europe-wide, France, Germany and the United Kingdom, including three top-band rankings:

• Corporate/M&A: Mid-Market – France
• Private Equity: Mid-Market – France
• Dispute Resolution: Litigation: Highly Regarded – United Kingdom

Regarding Mayer Brown’s top-band ranking in the Corporate/M&A: Mid-Market category in France, Chambers says the firm “is involved in an increasing number of corporate transactions” and has “substantial expertise in both domestic and cross-border M&A.” Chambers sources describe the group as “a team of technically strong, proactive lawyers.”

Of Mayer Brown’s top-band ranking in the Private Equity: Mid-Market category in France, Chambers says, “As much at home in high-end deals as mid-cap, Mayer Brown is praised in the market for its ability to provide excellent tax advice to complement its private equity practice. Clients admire the firm’s commitment, as well as its pragmatic and imaginative solutions.”

Regarding the firm’s top-band ranking in the Dispute Resolution: Litigation: Highly Regarded category in the United Kingdom, the publication reports that Mayer Brown “continues to impress and maintains an enviable profile in the world of litigation, acting for a range of large corporates and financial institutions in cross-border disputes.” According to Chambers sources, “The team is well organized and well equipped to handle matters demanding a lot of manpower.”

The new Chambers Europe edition also ranked 26 Mayer Brown lawyers in 21 geographic and/or practice categories, including six who achieved top-band or higher rankings.

Paulette Vander Schueren received the publication’s highest “Star Individual” ranking, which denotes exceptional recommendations in their fields, in the International Trade/WTO category in Belgium.
