Chambers Europe 2012 ranks Mayer Brown in 23 categories and ranks 25 of firm’s lawyers

15 May 2012
Mayer Brown, a leading global law firm, announced today that the 2012 edition of Chambers Europe: Europe’s Leading Lawyers for Business ranked the firm in 23 geographic and/or practice categories in Belgium, France, Germany and the United Kingdom, including two top-band rankings:

• Dispute Resolution: Highly Regarded – United Kingdom
• Private Equity: Mid Cap – France

Regarding Mayer Brown’s top-band ranking in the Dispute Resolution: Highly Regarded category in the United Kingdom, Chambers says “alongside this firm's excellent reputation for insurance litigation and construction disputes, it has advised numerous financial institutions and major corporates in the last year on general commercial litigation.” According to Chambers’ sources, the "group has the ability to grapple with the most complex issues," and "their client handling skills in difficult and tense situations have been excellent.”

Of Mayer Brown’s top-band ranking in the Private Equity: Mid Cap category in France, the publication reports that “this well-respected firm handles a large volume of high-end private equity transactions and LBO debt restructuring work. The team is especially well known for its expertise in LBO financing, and includes a highly regarded fund formation practice.” Sources describe the firm as “good at building solid client relationships” and providing “a bespoke service.”

The new Chambers edition also ranked 25 Mayer Brown lawyers in 21 geographic and/or practice categories, including six who achieved top-band or higher ranking.

Two Mayer Brown lawyers received the publication’s highest “Star Individual” ranking, which denotes exceptional recommendations in their fields:

• Nicholas Robertson, Employment: Employer – United Kingdom
