Mayer Brown, a leading global law firm, announced that Banking & Finance partner Carol Hitselberger has received a “Women in Business Achievement” award from Charlotte Business Journal
. The 18th annual awards recognize 25 outstanding Charlotte-based female professionals who were “selected for their achievements in business and their impact on the community,” according to the publication. Charlotte Business Journal
honored Ms. Hitselberger for her career accomplishments as a structured finance lawyer, as well as her leadership of Mayer Brown’s Banking & Finance practice in Charlotte and membership of the firm’s Partnership Board. Ms. Hitselberger focuses her practice on securitization and other structured financial products, including structuring domestic and cross-border commercial paper-funded securitization vehicles and securitizing trade receivables, credit card receivables, aircraft, leases, franchise portfolios, government contracts, trademark licenses, and various other financial assets. She has experience with synthetic leases and synthetic securitizations. Her work also includes representation of program sponsors, underwriters, placement agents, advisors, liquidity providers, credit enhancers and issuers in private placements, public offerings, and Rule 144A/Regulation S executions.
