William Glassey appointed as new Head of Insurance in London

London — Mayer Brown announced today the appointment of William (Will) Glassey as Head of Insurance in London.

Will, a lawyer with more than 20 years of experience as an insurance and professional liability litigator, joined Mayer Brown in 2000 and has been a partner at the firm since 2002. His practice is focused on defending negligence claims against solicitors, barristers, pensions actuaries and property professionals. He also represents professional individuals and advisers in regulatory investigations and disciplinary proceedings.

Sally Davies, Mayer Brown's London Senior Partner, said: "Insurance is a core offering within our Litigation department across the firm. In addition, we have a long history within the insurance sector in London, where we have an established market leading reputation for our contentious and corporate capabilities.

Will takes up his position with immediate effect.
