Mayer Brown partner Rajesh De appointed to The Constitution Project’s board of directors

8 September 2015

Mayer Brown announced that Washington DC partner Rajesh De, leader of the firm’s global Cybersecurity & Data Privacy legal practice, has been appointed to the board of directors of The Constitution Project (TCP). TCP is a bipartisan Washington DC-based not-for-profit organization that brings together policy experts and legal practitioners from across the political spectrum to foster consensus-based solutions to some of the most difficult constitutional challenges of our time.

TCP focuses primarily on issues of criminal justice, privacy and security in the digital age, and transparency and accountability in government. As a former senior official at the White House and Department of Justice, and most recently as General Counsel for the National Security Agency, Mr. De is well-suited to address these matters.

“We are thrilled to welcome Raj to our Board,” said TCP President Virginia Sloan. “He is one of the most respected voices in Washington on the most pressing legal and policy issues related to national security, privacy and technology.”

TCP undertakes original research, develops policy positions, publishes reports and statements, files amicus briefs, testifies before the US Congress and holds regular briefings with legislative staff and other policymakers.
