Protecting Confidential Information and Restrictive Covenants in China

Confidential information and trade secrets can be the life-blood of a business. The advantage a company has over its competitors can be easily lost when confidential information is leaked or walks out the door with the employee.

Protecting confidential information can be tricky in China. However, there are steps an employer can take.

In this seminar we look at the legal protection of confidential information available to employers in China and the steps an employer can (and should) take to protect its confidential information.

We will look at:

  • What trade secret law and non-disclosure restrictions exist in China?
  • When is a non-compete restriction enforceable?
  • When is a non-solicitation restriction enforceable?
  • Some recent cases and practical enforcement issues.
