Richard Goldstein looks at the recent British Airways case in which the High Court held that the trustees of the Airways Pension Scheme validly exercised the Scheme’s amendment power to introduce a trustee power to pay discretionary pension increases, and that the trustees’ subsequent exercise of that power was valid.
