New York State Issues RFP for First 800 MW of Offshore Wind Power

As anticipated,1 the New York State Energy Research and Development Agency (NYSERDA) on November 8, 2018 issued a request for proposals2 (RFP) for up to 800 MW of offshore wind power. Several informational events for prospective suppliers and bidders are scheduled for November 13, 14, 15 and 29, 2018, and the deadline for notice of intent to propose is December 20, 2018. Formal proposals are due by February 14, 2019 and are required to be firm and valid for 180 days after that date. NYSERDA expects to announce the related awards in April 2019.
