The English Commercial Court recently considered the approach to be adopted in assessing whether permission to serve proceedings out of the jurisdiction should be granted and, more specifically, what is required to get within one of the "jurisdictional gateways", particularly in light of recent Court of Appeal and Supreme Court judgments in this area.
