MiFID II—Are you prepared for the incoming legislation?

Set to come into effect on January 3, 2018 MiFID II will impact everyone who deals in the European securities markets. The original Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) sought to remove barriers to cross-border financial services within Europe and to create a safer, more transparent marketplace. Extending these requirements, MiFID II will have an even more pronounced effect across the financial landscape.

Please join this call to learn about key aspects of MiFID II. Mayer Brown lawyer Holger Schelling will cover topics including:

  • Access to the EU market for third country firms
  • Pre- and post-trade transparency
  • LEI Identifiers
  • Product governance rules
  • Regulation of inducements, particularly with respect to research material
