1 February 2017

Mayer Brown today announced the arrival of Christoph Crützen as a partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property practice in Düsseldorf. He joins from Clifford Chance.

Mr. Crützen focuses on intellectual property litigation. He has extensive experience in patent litigation matters and technology-related trade secret litigation involving a broad range of complex technologies in the automotive, life science, information technology and high-tech sectors. He regularly represents clients in all German courts and European institutions. In addition, Mr. Crützen advises on trademark-related matters, major advertising campaigns and transactional matters.

“Christoph’s addition to the team continues Mayer Brown’s growth strategy,” said Dr. Guido Zeppenfeld, Mayer Brown’s managing partner in Germany. “With him we are strengthening our team in Germany regarding all IP-related matters.”

Dr. Ulrich Worm, leader of the German Intellectual Property practice, added: “With Christoph, we are expanding our expertise in particular in patent litigation and in the life science and automotive sectors, which adds local strength and helps us to better leverage our strong international platform.”

“I am looking forward to the close cooperation with my colleagues at Mayer Brown,” said Mr. Crützen. “Due to its strong relationships with major German and international clients, the firm offers an ideal platform to further expand my practice.”
