Mayer Brown pro bono leader Marc Kadish honored for career dedicated to civil rights and public service

Mayer Brown, a leading global law firm, announced today that Marc Kadish, Director of Pro Bono Activities and Litigation Training, has been named a “Partner in Justice” by AVODAH: The Jewish Service Corps, for a career dedicated to civil rights and public service. AVODAH’s mission is to strengthen the Jewish community’s fight against the causes and effects of poverty in the United States.

Mr. Kadish oversees Mayer Brown’s global pro bono program, cultivating pro bono client relationships and opportunities that benefit society while providing the firm’s lawyers with training, professional development and fulfillment. He also manages the firm’s contributions to legal organizations serving the public interest.

For more than 20 years before joining Mayer Brown in 1999, Mr. Kadish was a clinical law professor at Chicago-Kent College of Law, teaching such subjects as evidence, criminal law and lawyering skills. During his career,  Mr. Kadish has conducted more than 60 jury trials and numerous bench trials before Chicago-area state and federal courts.
