4 May 2015

Chambers & Partners has awarded Mayer Brown partner Nick Hunsworth the “Lifetime Achievement in the Legal Profession” award at the Chambers Asia-Pacific Awards 2015 ceremony held in Hong Kong on May 4th, 2015. This award recognises Nick for his work advising clients on all aspects of banking and commercial litigation, high-profile commercial disputes, as well as providing high level advice to financial institutions on a range of regulatory and compliance issues in Hong Kong over the past three decades.

The Chambers Asia-Pacific Awards recognise the work of national and international law firms as well as individuals across the region on the basis of research conducted for the 2015 edition of the Chambers Asia-Pacific guide. The guide has previously named Nick a Senior Statesman - Financial Services and Dispute Resolution (China) and described him as a "heavyweight commercial litigator" and a "renowned litigator."

“I am delighted to have received this award, it is indeed a honorable recognition. I would like to thank Chambers for the nomination, my team for their support and our clients for their trust over the years,” said Nick Hunsworth.

Nick has extensive experience in administrative law remedies and appearances before domestic tribunals, including judicial reviews of decisions of professional bodies, regulators and members' clubs. He has a long history of dealing with restructuring and insolvency-related litigation with a particular focus on the liquidation of financial institutions. He has been accredited Higher Rights of Audience (HRA) in respect of civil proceedings by way of exemption by the Law Society of Hong Kong and appears regularly as an advocate in the Hong Kong courts.
