11 September 2017

Mayer Brown is pleased to announce that, for the third consecutive year, the firm has been recognized as the Hong Kong Law Firm of the Year by Asian Legal Business (ALB). In addition to winning the coveted top award at the 16th annual ALB Hong Kong Law Awards, the publication also recognized Mayer Brown in the following categories:

  • Insurance Law Firm of the Year;
  • Insolvency and Restructuring Law Firm of the Year; and
  • Labour and Employment Law Firm of the Year.

Intellectual Property partner Gabriela Kennedy also won the Woman Lawyer of the Year award.

“We are very pleased to hold onto the top spot in ALB’s latest ranking of law firms in Hong Kong for the third consecutive year, particularly in such a competitive environment,” said Terence Tung, the Senior Partner of Mayer Brown. “In addition, we were thrilled to learn that the publication has recognized the outstanding performance of our various practice groups, as well as our friend, Gabriela, for her client service and dedication to our profession. On behalf of the firm, I would like to offer special thanks to our clients and staff. Without their support, this would not have happened.”

The ALB Hong Kong Law Awards recognize the top private practitioners as well as elite in-house legal departments in Hong Kong. The awards were selected by an independent panel of judges after reviewing information submitted by the finalists along with intensive research conducted by the publication. The recognition for Mayer Brown attests to the firm’s reputation in Hong Kong and long-term commitment to the region.
