18 June 2013

JSM Beijing Representative Office (“JSM”) continues to give back to the community by donating 20 sets of personal computers, 15 sets of basketball uniforms and 100 sets of stationery and RMB30,000 to government sponsored Sihai School in Yanqing County, a remote county more than 100 kilometres north of Beijing, China.

A ceremony was held at the school which was attended by JSM partners and staff, over 100 students from Sihai School, municipal officials and representatives from the community.

Terence Tung, a partner at JSM who attended the ceremony said, “Youth education is one of the main causes JSM supports. The sky is their limit and they are the future of China. We hope the students at Sihai School will make use of the donations and continue their education to as far as they can achieve.”

As part of the 150th anniversary celebration, Mayer Brown is holding a series of community events in the different offices in Asia. In Hong Kong, its lawyers and support staff will be helping a special needs school to paint a mural in an effort to brighten their environment.
