In light of the one-year anniversary of the 2016 United States Presidential Election, we have instituted a series of weekly calls every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. CST discussing the impact of the new administration on various aspects of M&A transactions in the US and abroad.

President Trump’s immigration policies have raised many questions for multinational corporations employing a global workforce. Please join Mayer Brown partners Marjorie Harris Loeb and Elizabeth Espín Stern as they discuss how the new administration’s policies regarding immigration impact M&A transactions at the due diligence, closing, and post-merger stages, including post-merger integration and talent synergy issues. Our discussion will focus on:

  • The process for obtaining and retaining visas and work authorization;
  • Permanent residency rules and the potential impact of shifting from the current classification-based to a merit-based immigration system;
  • Travel restrictions; and
  • New worksite audit standards.

We hope you will join the discussion. If you are unable to attend the live call, kindly register and we will send you the audio recording following the teleconference.
