Fifteen Mayer Brown partners recognized as “IP Stars” by Managing IP’s 2016 World IP Handbook and Survey

Mayer Brown announced that 15 partners across six of the firm’s global offices were recognized as “IP Stars” in the 2016 edition of Managing Intellectual Property’s “World IP Handbook and Survey,” an annual analysis of the IP market based on extensive research among IP professionals. The attorneys were nominated by their peers and clients, and final inclusion was based on extensive research, including surveys and interviews conducted by the publication.

The Mayer Brown 2016 IP stars are:

• California – David Wang
• District of Columbia – Stephen Baskin, Jamie Beaber, Alan Grimaldi, Gary Hnath and Brian Rosenthal
• Hong Kong – Gabriela Kennedy
• Houston – Sharon Israel
• Illinois – James Ferguson, Joseph Mahoney and Steven Yovits
• New York – Lisa Ferri, John Mancini, Colleen Tracy James and Brian Winterfeldt

In addition, Mayer Brown was ranked nationally in the Patent Trial and Appeal Board Litigation (USPTO), Copyright, ITC, Patent Contentious and Bio/Life Sciences categories. In the foreign firms categories, Mayer Brown received top rankings in Copyright, Patent and Trademark for China and in Copyright, Patent Contentious, Trademark Contentious and Trademark Prosecution for Hong Kong.

The firm also was “recommended” in the Patent Contentious category for Illinois, New York and the District of Columbia, the Trademark category for Illinois and the Trademark Prosecution category for the District of Columbia.
