China’s Anti-Monopoly Law (AML) was adopted on 30 August 2007 and came into force on 1 August 2008. It is China’s first comprehensive competition law, and operates alongside existing laws to regulate restrictive cartel practices. This book chapter provides an overview of the law and enforcement regime as well as recent enforcement activity and other developments relating to cartels in China.
