Autonomous driving—Evolving Legal Issues for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles in the US

The German automotive group of Mayer Brown, in coordination with the firm’s global Connected & Autonomous Vehicles group, cordially invites you to this webinar, which takes a look abroad and reports on current and evolving legal developments relating to autonomous driving in the United States. How is the legal landscape shifting as a result of the incorporation of complex and interconnected technologies into vehicles, and what are the resulting risks and challenges arising therefrom? How are regulations evolving to address this shifting landscape?

This webinar is the first part of the 2018 series dedicated to legal issues arising from autonomous vehicles. The format is deliberately kept short, so we will present a concise overview focusing on the following topics:

  • The tremendous complexities raised by interconnected systems will require new approaches to addressing risk
  • Contract structuring is evolving as the industry moves toward Transportation as a Service
