A Round-Up of 2017's Cases and New Laws Affecting Employers

2017 saw a number of developments in employment law, including a flurry of state and local employment legislation; new court opinions on the interpretation of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and other federal statutes (including the whistleblower provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act); and the US Supreme Court’s deliberation about the enforceability of employment arbitration agreements.
