Music star Robert Allan joins Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP

15 May 2003 - Robert Allan has joined the Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP IP & IT Group effective from 1 May 2003. Allan joins from Denton Wilde Sapte where he was Head of the Music Group and has been a partner since 1986. He advises music industry clients on music publishing recording, music business mergers & acquisitions as well as users of music and IPOs, eg TV programme makers and broadcasters, film production companies and advertising. Robert Allan said: "It made great sense to me to join MBR&M. I had collaborated with various partners and fee earners on many occasions over the last 10-12 years since we were frequently co-counsel for EMI. I formed a very high impression of the practice's capabilities and was strongly encouraged by my clients (and, in particular, EMI) to move here."
