Experience
Diane Huff is a transactional lawyer whose practice focuses particularly on real estate matters. Diane has extensive experience in a wide range of real estate transactions, including property acquisitions and dispositions, financing, commercial office, industrial, retail, restaurant and build-to-suit leasing, ground leasing, and real estate property management work. She has substantial experience in representing real estate investors, lenders, developers, and other commercial clients in all aspects of real estate transactions involving a broad variety of property uses including office, retail, shopping center, industrial, healthcare, hotel and mixed-use projects.
As counsel and local counsel, Diane has represented numerous banks and institutional lenders, as well as borrowers in real estate financing transactions, including acquisition, construction, and permanent financings and refinancings. In the course of her practice, she has represented lenders in many ongoing commercial loan programs and has helped clients develop form loan documentation.
In addition, Diane has done considerable work representing landlords and tenants in commercial lease and ground lease transactions, with a particular emphasis on medical office leasing. Diane has represented major healthcare providers, as landlords and as tenants, in medical office leasing, subleasing and timeshare lease transactions. She has worked closely with clients’ property managers, construction consultants, brokers, and real estate consultants on real estate matters related to ongoing property operations and management.
Diane also has in-depth experience representing communications companies relative to their real estate interests. For example, Diane has represented major telecommunications companies involved in leasing sites for communications towers and equipment for the delivery of cellular phone and WiMax services.
