Three Mayer Brown lawyers named to The Legal 500 Private Practice Powerlist: United States M&A 2024

Mayer Brown partners Paul Theiss and Matt Wells and senior counsel Frederick “Fritz” Thomas have been named to The Legal 500 Private Practice Powerlist: United States M&A 2024. The annual list recognizes the leading M&A practitioners across the region.

Paul focuses on a broad spectrum of mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance work. He regularly counsels buyers, sellers and financial intermediaries in connection with public and private acquisitions, joint venture, divestitures, mergers, tender offers and proxy contests in the US and worldwide.

Since starting his legal career in Silicon Valley in 2000, Matt has facilitated the formation, financing, and harvest of hundreds of successful high-growth companies. He has represented entrepreneurs, growth enterprises, venture capital firms, private equity sponsors, and strategic acquirors in completing upwards of 300 preferred stock financings and 150 M&A transactions of all sizes.
