| As a major law firm, we have a responsibility to provide financial support to the communities in which we have offices. Part of this responsibility entails financial contributions to public interest legal groups with whom we have a relationship.
Non-legal financial contributions are not handled through the pro bono program. However, Marc Kadish is one of the few pro bono coordinators who also is responsible for public interest legal contributions. We believe we should provide both money and legal assistance. In 2004, through direct contributions, our matching gift policy, and designations through the United Way, we will contribute approximately $1 million in the United States.
