Zac Barnett is a partner in the Chicago office of Mayer Brown’s Banking & Finance and Private Investment Fund practices. Zac primarily represents real estate, private equity, debt, energy and infrastructure funds. His deep understanding of these vehicles has led to the development of creative fund financing structures including fund of fund and fund of hedge fund facilities, open-end fund lending structures as well as several different variations of fund aftercare facilities. Zac has extensive experience representing both borrowers and lenders in connection with subscription facilities. He also advises commercial banking clients engaged in domestic as well as international secured and unsecured financing transactions. Zac has developed an expertise in representing metals lenders in connection with certain commodities finance transactions with a particular focus on precious metals consignment facilities. In addition, he advises corporate clients, including casinos and companies in the entertainment and lodging industries.
