Overview

Pamela Sackmann concentrates her law practice in the areas of finance and derivatives, focusing on OTC derivatives for a wide range of products and clients. She has extensive experience in structuring and negotiating credit default swaps, total return swaps, various hybrid credit derivative products, credit-linked notes, equity derivatives, interest-rate swaps, commodity swaps, repurchase agreements, FX transactions, a wide variety of back-to-back swap transactions and other synthetic products.

Pamela represents clients that include US, UK and European financial institutions, mutual funds, hedge funds, insurance companies, pension funds, monolines and corporations. She has participated in the New York-based ISDA documentation committees for credit derivatives and equity derivatives and has presented at numerous documentation and derivative conferences, seminars, and workshops in the United States and United Kingdom. In Chambers Global 2006, Pamela was described as a “. . . key player on [Mayer Brown’s] derivatives team.”

Prior to joining Mayer Brown in 2001, Pamela worked with Lehman Brothers Inc. (2000–2001), the investment banking firm of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (1999–2000) and Deutsche Bank/Bankers Trust (1998–1999). Earlier, she practiced with two other prominent law firms.
