Ger O’Donnell concentrates his practice in structured finance with an emphasis on commercial paper conduit transactions, private placements, TALF transactions and collateralized debt obligations, and provides general advice to large foreign and domestic financial institutions.
Ger regularly represents issuers, underwriters, conduits, banks, hedge funds and other finance companies in the securitization of consumer, insurance premium finance and corporate receivables; mortgages, installment sales contracts and other loans; equipment, automobile and other leases; and software licenses, movie rights, property tax liens, troubled debt and other esoteric assets. He also assists clients with the development of commercial paper programs, CDOs/CLOs, capital call facilities, BDC financing and other complex structured finance transactions. In 2002, he was named one of the “40 Illinois Attorneys Under 40 to Watch.”
Ger joined Mayer Brown’s Chicago office in 1996. He had previously practiced at two other large corporate law firms in Chicago.
