Frédérick began his career in private practice as a competition lawyer before heading the competition department of the National Broadcasting Authority for two years. During his stay with the French Broadcasting Authority, Frédérick was in charge of some of the largest mergers in this sector including the most important transaction merging the two main operators in the Pay TV sector.
He then worked as case handler at the French Competition Authority for four years. He handled most of the cases in the media sector (Pay TV, Broadcasting and Press) including a pending case against exclusivity provisions imposed to pay-TV channels.
