Dean Young is a senior consultant of Mayer Brown JSM. He advises on commercial, corporate and security issues affecting shipping and airline companies, including sale and purchase, construction, leasing and registration of ships and aircraft.   His practice includes acting for banks and leasing companies, in particular preparing loan and security documentation for financial institutions and advising on domestic and offshore corporate structuring.  

Dean has been named a Leading Shipping Lawyer by Chambers Asia Pacific (2008-2012) and according to Asia Pacific Legal 500 2003 & 2004, he "dominates the ship finance market."  From 2002-2008, he has been a Leading Asset Finance Lawyer as noted by Asia Pacific Legal 500.  Who's Who list Dean as one of Hong Kong 's leading practitioners in several publications including Shipping and  Maritime Lawyers (2009) and Business Lawyers (2009-2010).
