Houston Rockets General Counsel Mark Biskamp Joins Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw Houston Sports Practice

| 28 March 2005, Houston - Mark S. Biskamp, former General Counsel of the Houston Rockets, Houston Comets, and Clutch City Sports & Entertainment, L.P., has joined the Houston sports practice of Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP.
Mr. Biskamp's sports and entertainment law practice includes the construction and management of professional sports arenas, sponsorship and advertising agreements, suite and tenant licenses, naming rights agreements, ticketing agreements, concert agreements, player and coaching contracts, television and radio agreements, and league compliance matters.
Regarding his decision to join the firm, Mr. Biskamp commented that he "was attracted to the Mayer, Brown's thriving sports, real estate, and business practices." Mr. Biskamp also has a diverse real estate and business law practice
Mr. Biskamp is a frequent speaker on continuing legal education matters, and received his law degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law, where he served as Notes & Comments Editor of the Journal of Air Law & Commerce. He also holds an M.Ed. and Ph.D. from the University of Virginia, and a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.
