Our Competition Law practice is actively involved in ongoing consultation with the Hong Kong SAR Government regarding the development of a cross-sector competition law for Hong Kong, and is assisting a number of clients with compliance activities in advance of the introduction of the law.

We have assisted large corporations to develop and implement tailored competition law training programmes and have assisted major banks and resources companies with compliance training and education activities for both in-house legal counsel and non-legal staff.

Our recent activities include:

  • meeting with the Hong Kong SAR Government's competition law consultants to provide input on the appropriate focus and content of the proposed general competition law
  • assisting key clients in the preparation of submissions in relation to the proposed law
  • advising business organizations in various industries in Hong Kong regarding competition law compliance activities and providing briefings to those clients regarding competition law issues that have arisen internationally in their industries and
