Overview

As a result of our long-standing representation of innovators, we have developed a high level of experience assisting clients with the protection of the IP crucial to their success. In addition, we have frequently represented companies in the defense of IP disputes both at the trial and appellate level. Mayer Brown full-service IP practice has 65 lawyers worldwide who focus on three areas:

  • Litigation of disputes involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, unfair competition, licenses, franchises and related antitrust matters;
     
  • Patent, trademark and copyright procurement and strategy, including prosecution before the United States Patent & Trademark Office and European Patent Office by our registered practitioners in the United States and Europe; and
     
  • IP opinions and transactional matters.
