12. November 2009. Im Rechtsstreit mit der US-Gesellschaft Moncrief Oil International, Inc. hat Gazprom einen weiteren Etappensieg erzielt. Das Landgericht Berlin hat der von Moncrief eigens zur Prozessführung gegründeten Moncrief Oil International (Deutschland) GmbH durch Zwischenurteil aufgegeben, für die Prozesskosten von Gazprom eine Sicherheit in Höhe von 1.813.985,58 Euro zu leisten.

November 12, 2009 – In the litigation initiated by U.S. company Moncrief International, Inc. Gazprom has gained another victory. By interim judgment, the Regional Court of Berlin requested Moncrief Oil International (Deutschland) GmbH, a company formed by Moncrief solely for the purpose of litigation in Germany, to post security in the amount of 1,813,985.58 Euro for the Gazprom litigation costs.

2 September 2009 - UBS recently reached a settlement with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service that resolved the U.S. legal proceeding in which the IRS attempted to compel UBS (in violation of Swiss financial privacy law) to reveal the identity and account information of an estimated 52,000 U.S. clients. The settlement was accompanied by a parallel agreement between Switzerland and the United States that provided for information on UBS accounts to be shared pursuant to an IRS request under the existing Swiss-U.S.

("Arminius") on acquisition of performing commercial real estate loans totaling approximately 148 million Euro from a major international commercial bank in London. The loans are exclusively secured with German real estates, among others large hotels in east-ern Germany. Mayer Brown advised Arminius with an international team of lawyers from the Frankfurt and London offices.

On 4 March 2009 Rothenberger 4xS Vermögensverwaltung GmbH and Günter Rothenberger Beteiligungen GmbH entered into an agreement with TS Metropolis Holdings S.á.r.l., Luxembourg, and its subsidiaries to purchase approximately 90 percent of the shares of the listed company a.a.a. akteingesellschaft allgemeine Anlageverwal-tung, Frankfurt. The price is in the price range 13 to 13.5 million Euro.
