The Charlotte office dates from 1998, when the firm acquired Blanchfield Cordle & Moore, one of the region's prominent tax and litigation boutiques, and currently comprises more than 40 attorneys. The firm is committed to providing local counsel to businesses in the region; almost all of our Charlotte non-finance attorneys have joined the firm after experience with other Charlotte firms. We are also committed to solidifying the firm's position as a valued corporate citizen in the Charlotte community.
As the office grows, we are concentrating on five practice groups: Finance, Corporate and Securities, Tax Controversy and Transactions, Real Estate and Litigation. At the same time, clients have access to the other practice areas and experience throughout the firm's other offices in the Americas, Asia and Europe.
This mix of local, national and international experience, together with the firm's well-known dedication to responding to client needs with resourceful solutions, has had a marked effect on the Charlotte legal market. The office has attracted several regional clients, including two of the nation's largest financial institutions, a number of other leading corporations, both publicly traded and privately held, partnerships, hedge funds and other investment vehicles, and high net-worth individuals.
The office's goal is to add value to businesses headquartered or involved in the Carolinas and throughout the Southeast. We believe that the firm is well-equipped, and well-positioned, to do so.
