Experience
Scott Pierpont is a corporate finance and capital markets attorney with a diversified practice. His experience includes the representation of domestic and international commercial banks, financial institutions, asset managers, funds, investors, developers, sponsors and others in a wide variety of traditional and non-traditional lending, fund and capital markets transactions.
Scott's transactional experience encompasses structured finance, bank lending, project finance, derivatives, hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, and restructuring and workouts. His fund and structured finance experience spans a broad range of asset classes, including loans, bonds, trust preferred securities, hedge fund interests, private equity fund interests and structured finance securities. His project finance experience includes transactions in the power, gas and industrial sectors, including renewable energy. In addition, Scott performs distressed portfolio diagnostic work and advises in connection with secondary market sales and acquisitions of structured finance assets. He also advises in connection with asset manager merger and acquisition transactions.
Scott joined the firm in 1998 and is a member of the firm's project finance, infrastructure, energy, private investment fund and collateralized debt obligation affinity groups. Although currently based in New York, Scott previously worked in Southeast Asia and has transactional experience in Europe, China and India.
