7. Is Mayer Brown JSM China focussed?

One of Mayer Brown JSM's special focus areas is Greater China. We established our presence and confirmed the commitment to our practice in China with the opening of our Shanghai office in 1893. This office operated until the end of World War II. In the early 1980s we re-established our China practice and in 1994 formalised our China practice group. In May 2002, we expanded our presence in China with the opening of Beijing office. In April 2006, we established a third office in Guangzhou which will enable us to further strengthen our PRC capabilities and allow us to serve the needs of some of our largest clients in Southern China.
